Description
Garlic is native to Central Asia and northeastern Iran and has long been a common seasoning, food flavoring and traditional medicine globally. Consumption of garlic as raw or food helps to lower down cholesterol levels because of its anti-oxidant properties. It is also extremely beneficial to regulate blood pressure and blood sugar levels.
In India it is grown extensively in Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat, Punjab, Assam, Maharastra and Himachal Pradesh.
